Using Different Banks to Save

We have our savings at a completely different bank then where we have our bill money. And we don’t have an ATM card for the savings account. This makes it a little bit more complicated to get the money out of savings. It’s still there if we need it, but it requires a little planning to get the money out. Doing it this way makes us think before we remove money from the account. When the money is in connected accounts at one bank it’s way too easy to go online and transfer money over because you deserve it or some other silly reason. The same thing is true when you have an ATM card for your savings account. Now that it takes an actual trip to the bank to remove money from savings we are much less likely to take the money out.
