Aloha Friday #108

It’s Friday once again so that means it’s time for Aloha Friday. For those of you who have not heard of Aloha Friday, every Friday on the Blog An Island Life an easy question for everyone to answer gets posted.
My Question Is:
Have you ever thrown away the instructions to something and regretted it later?
When we were moving I found an old pregnancy test that had never been used. It wasn’t in a box and the only marking on the package was the expiration date. I’m guessing that when I was pregnant with daughter I had purchased a two pack of tests and saved the second one. Why I didn’t save the box or instructions, I have no idea.
After we moved I needed a pregnancy test and remembered the one I just mentioned. So I dug it out and used it. Of course then I sat there staring at it trying to figure out how to read it. Was it one that a line in each window meant pregnant? Or did you need the plus sign in one window to signal a positive result? I had no idea. I even tried peeonastick.com and various Google searches, all with no luck. It left me feeling very stupid. I mean, who can’t read a pregnancy test?
I wound up buying a new test the next day. Naturally I bought a two pack, but this time I saved the unused test in the original box with the instruction sheet.

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. I usually throw everything away b/c you can usually find directions online..but I don’t know about pregnancy tests. LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Oh yessss! Not sure if I have thrown them away, but I do know that I file them in a box and then can’t every find them. I have recently tried to keep the box that the item came in, but now I have a stack of boxes….

    Happy AF!!

  3. Thank goodness for Google and the internet ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. It depends. If it is an electronic, I usually through the instructions in my file. Everything else usually goes into the trash.

  5. If it is an electronic device I save the instructions.

  6. I am guilty of throwing things away. Well I threw out the remote codes and well that was fun trying to figure out the universal remote without the instructions. LOL

  7. Oh! I have had that same thing happen to me. Pregnancy test with no instructions! Isn’t that fun. So, yes I have thrown away instructions before. For the pregnancy test and a “fancy” watch that did everything except change itself for daylight savings. I still haven’t figured out how to change the time.

  8. No, I save the instructions. The problem is finding them!

    So, were you pregnant?

  9. Yeah, totally just went back & looked. Congrats! Got my fingers crossed for y’all.

  10. i don’t think i have thrown them away…
