Churro Latte

I absolutely love churros, but they aren’t exactly something I should be eating all the time. So I was super excited to come across a recipe for a churro latte. I was so excited that I actually ordered the tea I needed for this latte just so that I could try it. For fun I decided to add a splash of bourbon to the latte for an adult treat. For my daughter I left out the bourbon and she still loved it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Vietnamese Cinnamon tea bags (Republic of Tea)
  • 6 oz hot water
  • 1/2 cup milk (I used coconut milk)
  • splash of vanilla
  • whipped cream
  • bourbon (optional)

Directions:

  • Steep the tea bags in the water. I did 5 minutes.
  • Warm milk with a splash of vanilla.
  • Mix together tea and milk mixture. Also mix in bourbon if you’re adding it.
  • Top with whipped cream.
  • Enjoy!

This latte was a delicious treat and I will definitely be making it again.

Here is the TikTok I made showing how to make the latte.

  1. I don’t know what a ‘churro’ is but after reading this review for the ‘churro’ tea recipe, it is intriguing to know that one of my favorite tea (tea republic) vendors has this tea; although I have not purchased teas from them as yet. Where do you find the money for all of the tea you order? It is amazing to me. Anyhow, you should visit this website https://www.teaformeplease.com/ as the tea blogger, Nicole, is working on a tea recipe book to be sent to publishers in April /May or June, I can’t recall exactly but she has been blogging for 13 years and completed a tea course etc…; she is very knowledgeable about tea; you may want to plug in a tea recipe for her book or not. Take care.

    1. Thanks. A churro is basically a fried tube of dough covered in cinnamon and sugar. They are delicious. I’ve watched some of Nicole’s videos but haven’t checked out her blog. I’ll have to do that.

      1. good, do so; Nicole is wriing tea cookbook recipe and perhaps one of your drinks might make it in there or not. You could probably right your own tea book; or continue to have fun blogging on tea with no need to publish real-time softcover book etc. I go on but don’t mean anything by it. I have been online long time, years, decades doing nothing and don’t plan other than posting my silliness. Take care.
